The FDA has warned Kind snack bar company about a misleading "healthy" label on their products, according to a letter sent in March and released to the public Tuesday. Four of the nutrition bar flavors contain more than 1 gram of saturated fat, which is the maximum allowed under the FDA's guideline for daily "healthy" consumption. (The fruit and almond bar contains 3.5 grams). Kind responded to the FDA by saying saying that its bars should be expected to contain more fats because of their high nut content but that doesn't necessarily mean they are unhealthy.
