A federal appeals court has ordered an unspecified foreign company to comply with a subpoena thought to be related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, CNN reports. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals did not identify the company and did not directly say the subpoena was related to the Mueller probe in a filing submitted Tuesday. However, the ruling did confirm the company was owned by a foreign government. The ruling also comes after Mueller’s team arrived at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit last week with another team of lawyers to reportedly argue about a grand jury subpoena. The entire floor of the courthouse was reportedly closed off to the press at the time to avoid “disclosure of the lawyers' identities.”
