The Public Policy poll shows the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO surging an astonishing 22 points to capture almost a third of likely primary voters. Mitt Romney is polling at 22 percent. Rick Perry, meanwhile, has fallen to 14 percent, one point less than Newt Gingrich. In the WSJ/NBC poll, 27 percent of Republicans say Cain's their first choice. A Reuters/Ipsos poll also shows a significant surge in Cain’s support, from 7 percent to 19 percent over the last four months, but it gives Romney the lead with 23 percent.
