Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced on Thursday that it arrested 1,300 people, mostly U.S. citizens, across the country in its largest-ever anti-gang operation. Of those arrested, 933 were Americans and 445 were not, according to ICE. Three had protected status as part of the Obama administration’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The vast majority of those arrested—1,095—were confirmed to be part of a gang, including the Bloods, Surenos, MS-13 and Crips.
