Best to take this with a grain of salt: After a meeting convened by the African Union, a group of Libyan government officials said they were committed to a ceasefire with rebels and were willing to implement a “road map” that would ultimately meet “the aspirations of the Libyan people,” such as elections and reform. But, they warned that Western airstrikes would have to stop for that to happen. Opposition groups claimed they were not invited. NATO came to an agreement on Friday to take full command of the military operation in Libya within days.
