Polygamy is no longer in vogue, at least on HBO. The Emmy-nominated polygamy-themed drama Big Love will end after next year’s previously announced fifth season. The series, which stars Bill Paxton, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloë Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Amanda Seyfried, will end the same year as another highly touted HBO series, Entourage. The Big Love cancellation comes just as TLC is wrapping up its first successful season of Sister Wives, its reality-based polygamy show. Big Love returns for its final season on January 16.
