President Donald Trump reportedly ordered his former national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, to devise a plan to evacuate American military families from South Korea. According to CNN, the order came before the Winter Olympics, which were held in South Korea in February. Tensions between the U.S. and North Korea have since thawed, with Kim Jong Un having released three American prisoners and agreeing to dismantle a nuclear test site. A senior administration official told CNN that others in the White House “saw it as a done deal.”
