Apple followers are used to subsiding on hints and morsels of information; here’s another from Steve Jobs: There “"might be an advantage" to allowing wireless carriers other than AT&T to carry the iPhone, the Apple CEO said in a wide-ranging talk at The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital conference. Addressing the company's feud with Google, Jobs said that although the search-engine firm “decided to compete with us” by entering the mobile-phone market, Apple would not retaliate by entering the search business. Jobs also denied charges that Apple’s Taiwanese contractor Foxconn, at which many employees have committed suicide in recent months, is a “sweatshop” and insisted that Apple was "over there trying to understand what's happening, and more importantly trying to understand how to help."
