About that whole retirement thing? Haile Gebrselassie was just kidding. The 37-year-old Ethopian long-distance runner has announced he’s coming back out of retirement after a knee injury removed him from the New York City Marathon on November 7. “Running is in my blood,” he wrote on his Twitter account. “I decided to continue competing.” Gebrselassie had 10 more miles to finish when his knee tendinitis kicked in. The two-time Olympic gold medal winner was in an “emotional state” when he made the shocking announcement to quit, according to his manager. Gebrselassie has stated that he wants to make it to the 2012 London Olympics.
