Is anyone surprised that Ann Coulter has been blogging lately about Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell? The right-wing pundit took on the military policy on her blog yesterday, urging the policy to stay in place and calling out liberals for dismissing troops as “homophobes.” Coulter disregards the Pentagon’s November report that says a majority of military support overturning the policy, saying only active-duty troops involved in combat should be allowed to be polled. “The military part of the military has valid reasons for wanting to separate the idea of martial ardor and sexual attraction,” Coulter writes. Earlier in the week, she cast suspected WikiLeaks leaker Bradley Manning as a prime example of someone who should have been cast out of the military with Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. “Any discussion of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell should begin with Bradley Manning. Live by the sad anecdote, die by the sad anecdote,” she wrote.
