Whoa there. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has already listed his potential running mates at a Virginia fundraiser. His choices were Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. The former Massachusetts governor is still considered the frontrunner in the GOP primary; however, Texas Gov. Rick Perry is gaining on him. A Gallup poll reports that without Sarah Palin in the race, Perry trails Romney by only 5 points, 23-18. Gallup reports that "Perry is also the only one of the three late-deciders whose support numerically exceeds [Michele] Bachmann's in these simulations," but Romney remains "the nominal front-runner regardless of who else enters the race."
