It might seem like Ron Paul has all but disappeared from the Republican primary, but he's actually quietly "winning the fight." The fight against foreign wars, that is. The presidential candidate told 4,600 people at a rally on the University of Illinois campus Wednesday night that he's finally starting to influence his fellow Republicans with his anti-war attitude. Both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum suggested recently that it might be time to ease away from Afghanistan. "It's about time," remarked Paul. "Sure, the politics is changing, and that's great. We're changing people's minds. The American people are sick and tired of it." According to a recent Gallup poll, half of Americans want the U.S. to pull out of Afghanistan before 2014.
