As Joe Biden prepares to debate Paul Ryan on Thursday night, a new Pew Research Center poll has found that just 39 percent of voters have a positive view of the vice president, while 51 percent view him negatively. The same poll found that 44 percent of voters have a positive view of Paul Ryan, and only 40 percent see him negatively. Going into the vice-presidential debate in 2008, 53 percent of voters viewed Biden favorably, and even Sarah Palin was viewed positively by 51 percent of voters.
