Looks like it's time to settle down: Buckingham Palace announced Thursday that Prince William is leaving the Royal Air Force to devote more time to public service. William began his military duties in 2006, and has since 2010 been stationed in Wales as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot. The prince has rescued a total of 149 people during 156 missions over the course of his career. Now that his and Kate Middleton's son, Prince George, is born, the couple plans to move to Kensington Palace. William hasn't declared himself a "full-time" royal yet; the palace said he is considering various options for public service, and his choice will be announced in "due course."
