For 24 years, the case of the 13 works of art stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum has not been forgotten in Boston. Now, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is reporting that there have been confirmed sightings of the artwork from credible sources. The heist involved two men disguised as police officers who took down the museum's security guards, its security system, and then stole the works of art. Since the works went missing, there has been a $5 million reward offered. The FBI also announced that three men with ties to organized crime, Carmello Merlino, Robert Guarente, and Robert Gentile, are persons of interest. However, Merlino and Guarente are now dead. Amongst the works of art is Rembrandt's Storm on the Sea of Galilee. In total, the works are valued at $500 million.
