Realizing that most people don’t want prospective employers to see photos of them passed out drunk, Facebook is secretly developing a professional site to keep users’ work profiles separate from their personal ones. Facebook at Work is Mark Zuckerberg’s answer to the professional social network LinkedIn. The new site will allow users to chat with colleagues, work together on shared documents, and make professional contacts. In addition to posing a potential challenge to LinkedIn and its 90 million users, Facebook at Work would compete with Google Drive and Microsoft, which offer some similar professional functions. Development on Facebook at Work began this year, and is already being tested in different companies. Facebook declined to comment on the initiative, which was first reported by the Financial Times.
