Newtown officials voted to raze the home of Adam Lanza, the teen responsible for the mass shooting that killed 26 students and teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The Newtown Legislative Council voted Wednesday night to knock down the home and keep the two acres of land as an open space. The house has been vacant since the December 2012 attack. "Not only is the property a constant reminder of the evil that resided there - those of us who walk, run, drive, ride or otherwise must pass it multiple times a day, are having a hard time moving on," neighbor Dave Ackart wrote in his plea to have the house razed.
