Arizona State University’s mascot could cost the school more than $100,000 for a prank he pulled during a football game. Tempe Councilman David Schapira filed a lawsuit claiming he sustained injuries during a Sept. 18 game when ASU’s mascot—Sparky the Sun Devil—snuck up behind him and jumped on his back. Schapira hadn’t fully recovered from a back surgery at the time. He alleges he missed 10 days of work due to the incident.
