The self-proclaimed Islamic State has issued a detailed ruling on the circumstances in which “owners” of women enslaved by members of the terror group can have sex with them, Reuters reported Tuesday. The rules were found in documents that were among many captured by U.S. special forces during a May raid targeting a top ISIS official in Syria. The ruling sheds new light on how the group is trying to reinterpret centuries-old literature to justify sexual slavery in the areas under ISIS control. The rulings detail several circumstances in which an “owner” cannot have sex with a slave. A father and son, for example, cannot have sex with the same female slave and an “owner” cannot have sex with both a mother and daughter if both are “owned” by him.
