Former President Barack Obama will reportedly write a memoir about his time in the White House from the luxurious comforts of a Pacific island resort once owned by Marlon Brando. The Washington Post first reported that Obama plans to retreat to Tetiaroa, an atoll of the Society Islands in French Polynesia, about 30 miles northeast of Tahiti. Brando bought the island in 1967 and its 35 beachfront villas are now managed by the late actor’s estate. It is unclear whether Michelle Obama will join her husband for part or all of the trip.
