Does Gisele Still Sell?

Here’s some surprising news about America’s highest paid model: She doesn’t sell. The Brazilian Gisele Bundchen appeared on both the cover of Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar this month—which was both magazines’ worst-selling cover in 2009. The VF issue—which featured a series of nude photos of Gisele inside—sold its lowest amount in two years, and Bazaar its lowest number since November, 2008. Call it a slump in the publishing industry or, call it straight: “It might be that she’s losing her looks,” a Vanity Fair spokeswoman joked.
