The supermodel’s recent Vanity Fair and Bazaar covers were disappointments at the newsstands. Is her reign as the world’s hottest woman over?

Here’s some surprising news about America’s highest paid model: She doesn’t sell. The Brazilian Gisele Bundchen appeared on both the cover of Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar this month—which was both magazines’ worst-selling cover in 2009. The VF issue—which featured a series of nude photos of Gisele inside—sold its lowest amount in two years, and Bazaar its lowest number since November, 2008. Call it a slump in the publishing industry or, call it straight: “It might be that she’s losing her looks,” a Vanity Fair spokeswoman joked.
