After standing by the NRA while other companies walked away, FedEx confirmed to Reuters on Tuesday it has decided to end its discount deal for NRA members because the organization “didn’t bring in enough business to merit its own deal.” The company told Reuters the ending of the discount program had “no connection” to the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting or any other shooting. The NRA is reportedly only one “among dozens of organizations FedEx plans to move to new pricing programs.” FedEx reportedly started notifying customers of the changes in early October. When companies like Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and Enterprise quickly ended their affiliations with the NRA after the mass shooting at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, FedEx remained tied to the organization and said it did not believe in “discriminating” between groups it works with.
