Lauryn Hill, who began a three-month jail sentence on July 8, wrote a letter to her fans thanking them for their support during her incarceration. "Although it has taken some adjustment, I cannot deny the favor I have encountered while in here, and general warm reception from a community of people who despite their circumstances, have found unique ways to make the best of them," Hill wrote from the federal prison in Danbury, Conn. The letter was posted to her Tumblr page with a note saying she can't answer all of the mail she has received. Hill was incarcerated for not paying about $1 million in taxes over a 10-year period.
