Phil Robertson’s indefinite suspension is over before it started. A&E announced that the Duck Dynasty star, who was put on hiatus after he likened homosexuality to beastality and whitewashed Jim Crow, will not be taken off the show. The Robertson family, A&E noted in a statement about its decision, has denounced the “coarse language” used by its patriarch to explain his personal views in the now-infamous interview. “But Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views. It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family...a family that America has come to love,” said A&E. “As you might have seen in many episodes, they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance, and forgiveness. These are three values that we at A&E Networks also feel strongly about.”
