The storm is headed for the Dominican Republic and Haiti, where analysts fear it could become a hurricane. The DR has begun evacuating towns in vulnerable areas, and thousands still living in Haiti’s tent cities are bracing for the onslaught. Isaac also threatens Florida, though it remains to be seen if it will pass through Tampa, where the Republican National Convention is supposed to begin Monday.
